Building A Garage Manufacturing Business - Zoning - Idaho

Hello All,

I have several years of experience creating relatively small car parts primarily for friends and family, and I'm looking to create a small garage shop for very light manufacturing using a small desktop milling machine, a few 3D printers and a break press for bending sheet metal (making brackets).

I see people online with garage shops businesses, but how can this be accomplished in a home that's zoned as residential? Do you need to own an Industrial zoned property to do any manufacturing business no matter how small? If this isn't possible in Idaho, then does anyone know of states that allow for this?

Note: Please be kind, I am just getting into this, and I am just now at the point where I have the capability to start pursuing my own side business.
