A remark by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath led to a huge debate on social media, after he said that while he was in Singapore, almost everyone he met said that they never cook at home.. and many don't even have a kitchen.

He went on to say that if India were to follow this trend, it would be a huge opportunity for investing in and opening restaurants. While people put out many opinions about this, among the strong was that by celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, who didn't directly mention his comment, but asked her followers not to listen to rich boys.

She says that "eating at home is a healthy practice. It can prevent many diseases and lead to sharing between communities"
