How To Find Trustworthy Non-technical Founders And Business Partners?

Card image cap

Hey everyone,

I'm a full-stack engineer planning to launch a software development/web dev agency. I’m solid on the technical side, but I struggle with sales, marketing, and business management. I’d love to partner with a non-technical co-founder who can focus on bringing in clients, handling operations, and growing the business while I handle the execution and delivery.

What I bring:
- Strong technical skills to build and deliver high-quality software
- Ability to bring ideas to life efficiently
- Experience in software development and web applications

What they bring:
- Sales, marketing, and client acquisition skills
- Business strategy, planning, and management
- Ability to scale and grow the business

I love doing the business side of things as well and I'm not completely hopeless, I just don't seem to ever find the time to do them (nor the courage to be completely honest)

My main challenge is finding the right person—someone trustworthy, driven, and capable of handling the non-technical side effectively.

Where can I find potential non-technical partners? Are there specific platforms, communities, or events that work best? And most importantly, how do you assess their trustworthiness and work ethic before committing?

Would love to hear from those who’ve gone through this process. Thanks!
