Kate Middleton said she is in remission from cancer.
On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales visited The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, speaking with patients and sharing that she received treatment at the center after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2024.
Kate posted about the visit on Instagram, thanking the staff for the care they gave her as she underwent chemotherapy.
"I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year," she said.
"My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything."
"We couldn't have asked for more," Kate said. "The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional."
In the same post, Kate also announced she is in remission from cancer.
"It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery," she said in the post. "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support."
Kate previously announced she had finished her chemotherapy in September 2024 after sharing she was undergoing treatment for cancer in March.
Her cancer announcement came just weeks after King Charles III revealed he also had cancer. Prince William described 2024 as the "hardest year" of his life because of his wife and father's diagnoses.
Kate shared her diagnosis after a lengthy absence from the public eye in the first stretch of 2024, during which she underwent "a planned abdominal surgery." Her medical team discovered she had cancer in post-operation testing and recommended she undergo "preventative chemotherapy," Kate said in her video announcement about her diagnosis in March 2024.
The Princess of Wales remained out of the public eye until June 2024, when she attended Trooping the Colour with her family. She made her first solo appearance after her diagnosis at Wimbledon in July 2024, and she started attending royal engagements more regularly throughout the final months of the year.

William and Kate have also become Joint Patrons of The Royal Marsden. In her Instagram post, Kate said she hopes to use her new role to support "groundbreaking research and clinical excellence" and "patient and family well-being."
