Leading palletised freight distribution provider Pall-Ex Group celebrated another year of growth and success at its annual awards ceremony, held this year on the 1st of February at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Supported by the main sponsor insurance broker Gallagher, this year’s event focused on how people, technology and sustainability underpin the ‘Future of Excellence’ and are central to the organisation’s vision. The evening highlighted many success stories from around Pall-Ex Group’s UK and European networks.

Over 600 guests from across the Group, including staff, network members and European partners attended the glamorous event, which was hosted by much-loved comedian Alan Carr and featured live music from Britain’s Got Talent 2024 golden buzzer winner Taryn Charles and the UK’s number one Queen tribute band, Flash.

The awards celebrated the people that power Pall-Ex Group both in the UK and internationally. A host of awards were handed out on the night, celebrating everything from driver excellence to the organisation’s operations in Europe.

The prestigious Member of the Year awards are the most hotly contested awards of the night and are decided by a network-wide vote. The Pall-Ex Member of the Year Award, sponsored by Tile Mountain, was won by Aylesbury Logistics in recognition of its commitment and dedication to the network, and follows a shortlisting in the same category at last year’s ceremony. LHT Logistics was honoured with the Fortec Member of the Year Award, sponsored by Flogas, for its top-quality and reliable service. The win for LHT Logistics comes just two years after its last win in the same category.

The European Network of the Year Award, sponsored by Service Express, went to Pall-Ex Romania for the third time in a row. The network has seen tremendous growth throughout 2024, culminating in the opening of a brand-new, purpose built hub to significantly strengthen its offering in the region.

Other big winners on the night included:

A.D.D Express, who drove away with the Pall-Ex Business Development Award, sponsored by Gateley.

Pall-Ex Logistics Dorset, who won the Fortec Business Development Award, sponsored by Allports Group.

Tandem Transport, who claimed the Pall-Ex New Member of the Year Award, sponsored by Microlise.

Cress Company, who took home the Fortec New Member of the Year Award, sponsored by The Barcode Warehouse.

Alongside recognising its network members, individual contributions were also celebrated at the event.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mike Barber, in recognition of his commitment and dedication to the Pall-Ex network since its inception in 1996.

Adam Hopcroft, owner of Premier Palletised Ltd, was recognised with the Outstanding Contribution Award in honour of his unwavering commitment to Pall-Ex Group since joining the network in 2005.

Pall-Ex Italia’s Melissa Alberti was also praised in the Outstanding Contribution category, having been at the helm of Pall-Ex Group’s first overseas network since its inception 15 years ago.
