The Apprentice In ‘shocking Show First’ As Lord Sugar ‘fires Candidate Before Final Boardroom Showdown’

LORD Sugar is set to fire a candidate on The Apprentice before the end of the episode, breaking from the show’s traditional format for the first time.
The long-running BBC reality series, in which business hopefuls compete in team-based tasks to win a partnership with Lord Sugar, usually sees eliminations take place at the end of each episode.

However, according to The Mirror, this week’s episode will take a dramatic turn when Lord Sugar dismisses a contestant before the usual selection process even begins.
Instead of waiting for the final three candidates, he will fire someone in front of the entire group.
Normally, the losing Project Manager chooses two teammates to return to the boardroom.
But in a shocking deviation, a furious Lord Sugar reportedly declares, “I’ve heard enough”, abruptly sending a candidate home while all the contestants are still present.
Addressing the group, Lord Sugar says: “It seems like a completely disjointed organisation you were running there, completely disjointed. I don’t like wasting my time.
“I think the dynamics of the team is terrible at the moment, listening to everybody, I think that you missed an opportunity.” He then singles out a contestant and delivers the infamous phrase: “You’re fired.”
This week’s challenge sees candidates tasked with designing and launching an educational banking app and an accompanying money box for six-to-nine-year-olds. They must then pitch their product to industry leaders.
Kicking off the task, Lord Sugar tells them: “It won’t surprise you to hear that I’ve been interested in making cash from an early age.
“Before I even left school, I was finding ways to earn money, like boiling beetroot for a local greengrocer or collecting glass bottles to take back to the shop.
“But pocket money has moved on a bit since then. Today, the kids banking market is huge. There are now 28 million accounts held by under 18s in the UK alone.
“To keep children engaged, these accounts now also come complete with an accompanying app just like this one to educate, entertain, and capture kids’ imaginations.”
The contestants face tough feedback as schoolchildren critique their creations. One child compares a team’s moneybox to popcorn, while another dismisses a dog-shaped design as “kind of babyish” and “for two-year-olds.”
