Trying To Buy Bitcoin As A Rural Nepali Teacher – Dream Out Of Reach!

Hey Reddit, I’m a English teacher in a small village in the mountains of Nepal.
I’ve been obsessed with Bitcoin since 2023, when the sketchy internet finally reached my remote mountain village in Humla, Nepal. I’m around 40ish, a teacher making 30,000 NPR a month (about $225 USD before taxes) which my villagers consider a "rich" salary in my village (Sunday to Friday is the business week in Nepal and only Saturday is a weekend holiday).
After rent, food, and helping my family, there’s barely anything left. Bitcoin’s price in NPR is insane—over 11.8 million rupees for one coin. Even a tiny fraction costs more than I can save in a year. Then there’s the access. Living in the mountains, we have daily powercuts 10 hours a day, internet is spotty at best and sometimes we need to walk 2 hours to the nearest city to access network! We don't even have paved roads, Forget about reliable electricity, internet, heating or running water. These are dreams even in 2025 for me and my people.
My cousin in Germany opened a Binance account for me. I saved 450,000 NPR (around 3,000 euros )over 10 years, every rupee I could stash from teaching. Sent it to him, he swapped it, and he put it all into Bitcoin. It’s thrilling, but it stings too as I cannot freely sell and exchange this in Nepal yet! I now have 0.0335 Bitcoins. This is all my wealth, I don't own a home!
Yes, Life’s unfair for most.
Life’s unfair for most of us. Even in 2025, how lucky or rich you get still depends on where you’re born. I’m proud I made it this far, but damn, it shouldn’t be this hard. I wish everyone in the world had access to healthcare, water, roads and most importantly, security that you and your family will not go "hungry"!
Edit: Yes, this is my first log in Reddit. I tried to load binance image with 0.33 holdings, but it never loads!
Edit 2: Someone says my sob story is to ask for donations. Well let me clear this up, I'm not looking for any donations or any freebies.
Before making such accusations, one should really introspect and see how little vast majority of people in developing countries have, especially those that have been left behind from development & globalization. I don't need your donations or freebies, what we really need are "Roads, Water and Electricity"
Thank You!
