Rothkoff Law Group, a comprehensive elder care law firm serving the Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey areas, will host its 7th Annual Elder Care Symposium, focusing on innovations to enhance care quality and prevent injuries. This first-of-its-kind hybrid conference, held on Oct. 16 at Live! Casino and Hotel in Philadelphia from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., will provide a platform for health care providers and caregivers to collaborate, share insights, and drive advancements in Elder Care.

This year’s event will feature 50 prominent experts who will explore innovations in health care that bridge the gap between providers and caregivers. Presentations will showcase the latest technological advancements.

A highlight of this year’s symposium is the keynote address by Michael Skaff, vice president of Health Care Technologies for Vayyar Care. Skaff, a pioneering figure in health care technology, will share his expertise on caregiver-driven innovation in senior living.

Vayyar’s radar technology detects falls and motion without invasive cameras, providing real-time alerts to caregivers. This innovation not only enhances safety but also respects the privacy and dignity of seniors. Furthermore, Vayyar Care’s INsights platform analyzes fall histories, behavioral trends, and other risk factors, enabling personalized care and data-driven fall prevention.

“Falls are a $50 billion annual problem in the U.S., and our technology addresses this critical issue,” Skaff explained. “By providing non-intrusive monitoring, we ensure seniors’ safety while maintaining their privacy. This is a tool to support caregivers, not replace them, reducing their burden and enhancing the quality of care.”

Skaff’s dedication to elder care is deeply personal. “My mother’s work in gerontology and my father’s advocacy for accessibility have profoundly influenced my approach to integrating technology with health care,” Skaff shared. “Being able to improve accessibility and safety for seniors drives my passion for this work.”

Attendees of the symposium will earn Continuing Education credits, contributing to their professional development.

Rothkoff Law Group’s commitment to education and advancement in elder care is reflected in its certification to provide CE credits for social workers, nurses, nursing home administrators, assisted living administrators, case managers, and HR professionals.

“Our annual symposium is a cornerstone event for our firm and the elder care community,” Jerry Rothkoff, Managing Attorney at Rothkoff Law Group, said. “We are thrilled to have Michael Skaff join us this year. His work in healthcare technology, particularly in senior living, directly aligns with our mission. Whether it’s helping a senior maintain their independence through adaptive devices or improving communication between caregivers and families. These advancements are making a tangible difference every day.”
