Unveiling Healthcare's Dark Side: Neglect And Abuse Exposed

Card image cap

I've worked in a hospital and even stayed in a psych ward as a teen.

From working in the hospital, I noticed nurses in the ER and Psych wing would purposely turn the phone off when patients they didn't like attempted to use them, this would stop the patient from making calls to the outside.

it's common for nurses to turn off the call button from their station and I've watched multiple nurses/aides ignore and walk by an elderly fall risk patient who was stuck on the toilet. They left her there for an hour then acted confused when head nurse came in.

From my personal account in a psychward (for suicide, so no psychosis.) I had the head psychiatrist threaten to tube me for 'not eating' this was after three days they refused to give me food, when the nurse checked the food it was eaten obviously and he claimed he "didn't say that" and was "sorry if it came off that way" he specifically used the word feeding tube.

The food is poison, avoid illness at all cost, do not pay medical bills. the shortage is well deserved and the US healthcare system needs to collapse.

my next stories take place in a skill nursing facility:
Multiple patients developed infections from not being turned at night, again nurses turned off call lights and ignored patients, patients would go weeks without showering and laying in their own filth. Sometimes aides would walk into rooms and turn off the call lights but ignore the patient asking for help. Nurses and aides would spill bodily fluids (pee, shit, blood) and just throw a paper towel over the spot. No attempt to clean it up--this facility was known for having little to no housekeeping staff.

The director used incentives to encourage staff to funnel more patients into the building without adequate staffing.
