San Francisco-based real estate technology company RealScout on Thursday announced that Andrew Flachner will take over as CEO. Flachner, a co-founder of RealScout, will replace current CEO Arthur Kaneko, who will continue to serve as an adviser.

“Today marks a new chapter in RealScout’s story — one that I’m humbled and excited to help write as returning CEO,” Flachner announced on LinkedIn.

Kaneko took over as CEO in 2017, guiding the company through the COVID-19 pandemic, restructuring moves and market shifts. Flachner succeeds Kaneko during a consistent trend of growth for the company. RealScout reportedly achieved its strongest revenue performance to date, with annual recurring revenue growing by 40% year over year.

Since founding RealScout alongside Michael Parikh, Flachner maintained his involvement with the firm over the past seven years as the company’s president. He facilitated several key partnership deals with some of real estate‘s biggest names — including Anywhere Real Estate, Sotheby’s International Realty and HomeServices of America. These efforts landed Flachner in the Swanepoel Power 200.

Additionally, Flachner has a track record as a serial entrepreneur across several industries. The Cal Poly graduate founded or co-founded companies in venture capital, food vending and social media. He is also a founding member of the Forbes Real Estate Council, an invitation-only group for senior-level real estate professionals.

Flachner’s mission going forward is to help agents succeed in a challenging market.

“When Michael and I founded RealScout more than 12 years ago, we set out to help real estate professionals harness the power of technology to amplify the value they bring to consumers. Today, that mission feels more relevant than ever as our industry faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities,” he wrote.

Flachner’s return isn’t the only leadership leadership move that RealScout is making in early 2025. Nick Blumenthal, the company’s vice president of engineering, is being promoted to chief operating officer. And Seth Price will join the firm as its first chief marketing officer. Price is known for scaling Boston-headquartered Placester and its 450,000 customers.

RealScout is a leading real estate technology platform that serves more than 100,000 agents nationwide. The platform combines MLS integrations, market data and marketing automation features.
