Brooke Shields’ take on the latest TikTok trend has people saying, “Call the judge.”

Viewers were left disturbed after the actress and model touched upon a harrowing experience from her childhood in the recent video.

About a week ago, Shields participated in the viral “You’re so funny” trend and sparked strong reactions online.

As part of the trend, users are seen responding to the compliment “You’re so funny” by sharing a deeply personal experience or a traumatic incident that has shaped their sense of humor or even their personality as a whole.

The trend is often shared with the song She Looks So Perfect by 5 Seconds of Summer playing in the background.

When Shields shared her take on the trend, the text read: “‘You’re so funny,’ Thanks! I played a pr****tute in a movie when I was 12!”

She made strange expressions at the camera before ending the video with a laugh.

The Hollywood icon was making a reference to the controversial 1978 film Pretty Baby, in which she played the role of a child escort named Violet, raised by an adult worker mother (played by Susan Sarandon) in a New Orleans brothel.

Brooke was just 11 years old when she played the role in Pretty Baby, a movie that thrust her into the world of adult sexuality.

The former child star has opened up in the past about being labeled as a “sexualized child model,” and an “object of desire” even before she was legally allowed to vote.

Her role in Blue Lagoon involved filming scenes without any clothes on at the age of 14.

Netizens, who saw her “You’re so funny” trend video, reacted to the clip with shock.

Many believe the former child star didn’t “deserve” being sexualized at such a young age

Pretty baby was traumatizing as a viewer. I can’t imagine your pain,” one said, while another asked, “How did blue lagoon and pretty baby get approved?”

“HOWS THAT EVEN LEGAL,” questioned another.

“We listen and we CALL THE JUDGE,” one TikToker chimed in.

“Brooke I fear you won this trend,” another remarked.

Another wrote, “Brooke you did NOT deserve that.”

“I wrote about pretty baby and blue lagoon in my final essay for my class on cinema of transgression,” another said. “You did not deserve any of that.”

The recent conversations about Shields’ childhood spread to X as well, where one user wrote, “My heart aches for Brooke Shields, and all she’s been through.”

“Brooke Shields is a victim and she’s one of the most normal, likeable child stars to ever survive Hollywood,” another said.

Shields was only 11 months old when her working-class single mother, Teri, from New Jersey, got her booked for a soap commercial.

As she began making money for the family from her infancy, the child went on to star in a number of ads and magazine shoots before landing roles in movies.

Her mother had even nodded yes to her daughter posing without any clothes on for a Playboy publication at the age of 10.

The actress shared part of her journey in a two-part Hulu documentary series called Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, which explored her childhood in the spotlight and how she grew up to become “the most photographed woman in the world” with her “iconic American beauty,” as per the trailer.

The model went on to become the face of Calvin Klein jeans in the 1980s.

Becoming a cultural phenomenon, it would have been hard to find a household in America that didn’t know her name or face at the time.

“I’m amazed that I survived any of it,” the Endless Love actress said in the docuseries.

After spending years in front of the camera, the world-famous model took a break from Hollywood in the 1980s to study at Princeton University.

She then returned to the big screen, unpausing what became a decades-long career in showbiz.

“Getting into a university … definitely changed the entire trajectory of the way I looked at my life and the way I was received in my life,” she told Glamour in 2022.

Brooke, who is now active on TikTok, tied the knot with husband Chris Henchy in 2001, and raised two daughters with him: Rowan Francis Henchy, 21, and Grier Hammond Henchy, 18.

During a conversation with the Sydney Morning Herald in 2023, daughters Rowan and Grier said they would never watch their mother’s movie Pretty Baby.

“It’s child p—graphy!” Rowan said.

“Would you have let us [do that] at the age of 11?” she then asked the actress.

“No,” the famous mother said.

“Everybody in Hollywood owes her an apology,” read one comment on social media
