Rico Nasty Readies 'lethal' Return

After closing out Elena Velez's New York Fashion Week showcase Rico Nasty is readying to make her anticipated long-form return to the music scene. Following up on her last LP Las Ruinas in 2022, the multihyphenate musician has revealed she has her third studio album in the works, kicking off the project – entitled LETHAL – with it's lead single "TEETHSUCKER (YEA3x)."
"'TEETHSUCKER (YEA3x)’ was both the first song I wrote for the album and the first song I ever wrote with Imad Royal, who executive produced LETHAL,” the rapper shared in a statement. "We all knew this song was special from the moment we turned it in. And what’s a better way to start the new era than by poppin' out like a titty????"
Per a press release, LETHAL is a "reckoning of who Rico is at 27 with the trap-pop teen persona she created more than a decade ago," imbued with "all the hallmarks of a Rico Nasty record - female rage, heavy guitars, humor" alongside " notes of femininity, introspection and a more complex framing of all the angles of Rico - the performer, the mother, the adult."
Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on LETHAL – confirmed to drop on May 16 – and stream "TEETHSUCKER (YEA3x)" – out everywhere now.
