[alaska] Neighbor Entered My Property And Destroyed 320$ Of Property While Drunk. What Is My Recourse?

I have never spoken with this man but I did give his roommate my number in case they ever needed anything or had any issues.

I have security footage of him coming up to my house, vandalizing my property and stumbling away with it while drunk.

I get along very well with all my neighbors so this was an odd surprise.

I looked him up and he has a prior offense of 4th degree theft on the same day and time two years ago but no other details.

I tried to discuss this with him but his roommate said he wasn’t home although he clearly was and I could see him in his kitchen. I left my number yesterday and still have not heard back.

Do I call the police? Is this criminal trespass or significant theft? What is my best legal path forward?
