[ Florida ] Physical Limitations Caused A Stir With My New Boss, Fired That Afternoon.
I recently started a new job, some time ago I was suddenly struck with physical limitations due to an injury, so a small tech shop was a much better fit.
Despite my boss knowing of my physical limitations and injuries (from day 1), today, my boss demanded I do physical labor I was uncomfortable doing. Concerns arose of me being struck with pain following the job. Boss questioned the legitimacy of my claim despite the efforts of my coworkers to support my decision.
Later in the shift I was asked to sign a paper in case of any future termination of employment and asked me to sign it with my starting date (it was meant to be signed within my first week, we’re going on week two.)
Two hours following my shift, I was let go, one major reason being my “unwillingness to cooperate in performing manual tasks.” What can I do? Should I file an ADA claim? The legality of the paperwork has thrown me for a loop too, any bit helps, thank you.
