(il) Property Seized From Home Owner By Homeland Security But Home Was Rented To Me And Now Getting "notice To Vacate"

So the current home we are renting has not had its taxes paid in years+ home owner got arrested for crimes by homeland security and home was apparently taken as well. Today we had group of people come and try to tell us we have 10 days to leave the premise or we will be thrown out. From my understanding the only person we is able to legally toss you on your butt is a sheriff . We are blindsided by this and 10 days is extremely short to pack up and find a new place since we also have a 1 year old.

Im not sure what my next steps should be so any direction would be amazing.

We live in Illinois btw if that matters.
