10 Year Old Got Jumped By 3 Step Cousins While Father And All Adults Are Partying Hammered Drunk.

So here’s my recent scenario that took place. Father had his 10 year old son over for winter break and decided to take his son over to his sister in law’s house for her adult birthday party. During this time the 10 year old got into an argument with 3 of his step cousins (his step mothers sisters kiddos). These kids have a rep of being violent towards this 10 year old and they was bullying him and making inappropriate remarks regarding his bio mother. 10 year old told his father who shrugged it off and told him to toughen up while he busy drinking and taking shots with all the other adults at the party. The 10 year old went to sit by him self away from everyone and the three step cousins came up to him and continued to bully him the oldest stating he saw him try to snitch and stated he was going to beat his you know what. The ten year old told them to leave him alone and that was when the younger of the three shoved the 10 year old with one hand. The 10 year old reacted snatching a Nintendo switch game system from the youngest of the three step cousins hands picked up a hammer and smashed the hammer into the systems screen as a reaction to be shoved. The oldest of the three step cousins knocked the 10 year old and started punching him and the other two step cousins jumped in out of anger from their switch getting smashed. No adult realized that the game system was hammered because they was to busy drinking. The mother of the step cousins yelled at the 10 year old for hitting one of her kids back but did not say anything to them for jumping and attacking him and starting the fight. The father did not recognize the incident and ended up wasted. The 10 year old acknowledged that he was wrong for breaking the game system but felt the reaction was truly instigated and boiled up to the extremity. Should this be mentioned at the upcoming family court hearing in Florida. Is it concerning that the father got so trashed that he didn’t realize his son was jumped and didn’t question the bruises and marks he had on his body? The step cousins are ages 8 10 and 11.
