Ambulance Man Broke My Leg Mid Surgery.

I was, and still are,in the process of having knee surgery. Due to infection I received treatment daily as an out patient. I requested transport for in hospital care. My choice due to limited mobility. I was strapped to a gurney to get me downstairs. The man pushing the gurney slammed my leg into a wall causing me to scream out in pain. Apparently the impact broke my upper leg bone near the cement spacer acting as a temporary knee. Now, I must have my knee totally replaced. It's taken longer and caused medical and marital relationship problems.

What are my rights for compensation?
