Apartment Changed Ownership. We Haven’t Been Able To Pay Rent This Month Due To Online Portal Being Shut Off And No Office Location Being Provided. Also My Balance Is $3500 More Than It Should Be. (texas)

I looked this morning and they finally turned on the ability to pay online. Should I pay my actual balance and trust that they’re going to work it out? Or do I have a right to withhold rent until the right number is reflected?

A bit more context:

I have relayed the right number to them via email with proof via my account ledger from the last management group.

This issue is the same for me and every other resident at the complex (~30 units).

None of us have been able to contact the new management company in January, all of us got $250 in late fees added to our account for not paying January rent despite having no means to pay, and all of us have balances that are $3k higher than we actually owe.
