Been Paying A Family Member For A Bill That Likely Never Existed.

Card image cap

To make a really long story short, my old man died after gifting me a vehicle when I was 18 and had left everything to my aunt. I’ve been paying what was supposedly left of the debt for about 4 years under the promise that once it was paid, she’d transfer the title to my name. Recently while trying to get my tags renewed, I figured out that the car has been paid off (if that’s what no lien means) for god knows how long. I live in Arizona. Is there any way she might be telling the truth? She refuses to show me any sort of proof upon questioning her. And if she’s not, is there anything I can do to either get my title or be reimbursed or am I just screwed.
