Blackmailing Using Audio Recordings (ks)

I’ll try to keep this short and simple.

My husband has been yelling at me, calling me names, and just saying outright terrible things to me in front of our son.

I usually try to stay calm, but after a whole day or even a week, I eventually break and respond in like-kind. It’s when I finally respond back that he starts recording. He changes his tone and demeanor and lies about events as they’re happening in the recording. If our son falls, he’ll say I pushed our son. If I’m standing in another room while he’s sitting in a chair, he’ll say I’m standing over him.

During one of the recordings, I asked him why he’s doing this. He responded with saying it’s because he’s “collecting evidence of [my] abuse in case we split up.”

He already filed a false CPS report the first time I went to a DV shelter. Second time I left, he had his mother file one in retaliation of him being arrested for a DV incident.

I’m so upset that our son is being subjected to this. And now I’m pregnant again and due soon.

Is ANY of this illegal for him to be doing?
