Bought A New Ford Truck And Was Asked To Bring It Back 3 Days Later
So November 22 (Friday) I bought a brand new ford maverick after months of consideration. I bought the truck signed the papers and drove it home. Monday morning I get a call from the dealer saying if I don’t bring it back they will be fined $27,000 from ford because there was a recall on the truck they didn’t catch day of sale. Told me they would give me a loaner car until ford fixes the recall. The first month I asked if they could get me into a different truck and take mine back. They said I’d lose my ass on trade. I don’t think I should lose any money. Fast forward to February when me and my fiancé close on our new house and it would be nice to have my truck to help move some things that we don’t load in the U-Haul. I’d like to just go get my truck and tell them sorry they owe 27k. But I don’t know if I can legally do that after they have given me a loaner vehicle? What are my options here. Do I call ford and demand a new truck?
