Burnt By Umpc
UMPC is Ultra Mobile Personal Computer I have a handheld pc called an Ally Z1 Extreme. I have done no modifications to it. I have not voided any of the warranty. I play old school games, not AAA games, I'm talking about Moonlight, Octopath and Starbound. One night I was tired but wanted to unwind from a long day. I sat down and turned it on and didn't even make it to loading a game and fell asleep lounging in my chair. The Ally was in my hands but laying on my stomach. I wake up with a pain but didn't realize what had happened. I turned off the ally put it on my side table and went bake to sleep. In the morning I realized I had a nasty burn on my stomach. I got up, put burn gel on it, covered with a 4x4 and tape. In the evening I took off the bandages to change them and see I now had a pair of huge blisters that are yellow and filling with fluid. I cleaned and reapplied gel and fresh 4x4's and tape. I reached out to ASUS about it and was bounced around until I had a "local" area person that reached out. They just wanted me to send it in and they would send me a check refund. That's all they wanted to do and didn't offer to send me a new replacement or anything for the burn. I have images from every step plus the messages and emails. Do I have any legal standing here for a lawsuit? I have not replied back to them after the guy caller me and told that over the phone. The burn had healed but I now have a nasty scar. Any help would be great.
