Can An Heir On An Estate In Louisiana Be Forced Off The Land For Sale

I live in Louisiana, and my father passed away five years ago without a Will. My father owned two tracts of land: an 80-acre Farm and a 2-acre Ruined Fishing Camp. My father only had two kids, myself and my older brother. My older brother moved onto the farm to live before my father passed away. My brother had the attitude that because he was on the land he should be entitled to 100% ownership. Because of how my brother was, I didn’t engage with estate succession since I would have to pay everything out of pocket. I paid the taxes for the land because my brother would not pay for it, and I couldn’t see my father’s legacy go to auction to sell for cheap.

Time passed, and my brother passed away over a year ago. Since my brother passed, I went into the legal process of becoming the administrator of my father’s estate to sell the land and split the profits with the heirs: My brother’s three kids and me.

My issue is that one of my brother's kids (he’s in his 20s) has moved onto the farm and turned the place into a complete junkyard. My nephew is refusing to leave the property and has made threats to anyone who comes to clean the land up for a sale, including saying, “The only way I’m leaving this land is in a wooden coffin.”

My lawyer said that this is not an answer he’s familiar with, and he would have to ask a criminal lawyer what the options going forward would be.

My question is if there is a way to move forward with getting an heir off an estate for the Administrator to sell.
