Can I Be Denied Unemployment Benefits If I Was Terminated? Nyc

I work the whole year at a car dealership in 2024, I switched companies in November and while I was there, I got sick during Thanksgiving that required for me to have surgery due to an infection in my foot. The ER hospital gave me a work letter to go back to work on a Saturday but my surgery was December 2 when I got my surgery December 2 the surgeon gave me a letter not to go back to work until 20th of December to heal. while I was home healing I got a letter in the mail saying I was terminated November 30 as a no-show.
Months later I applied for unemployment benefits having no luck finding a job… now unemployment is doing an investigation whether I should get unemployment benefits from this job that I worked for three weeks that (wrongfully) terminated me during a medical leave.
The job is saying to unemployment agent that I abandoned the job that I was a no-show because the ER letter said I could go back on the 30th which was a Saturday but since I didn’t show up on the 30th, they fired me on that day. I have text messages between me and one of the managers telling him I should be able to get my surgery within a day or two. He stopped responding the day of the surgery as I showed him pictures of me on the surgery table. As I was home healing I got the letter I’m fired with a ADP letter to apply unemployment.
Now I applied for unemployment and the dealership trying to deny my unemployment benefits because I abandoned my job ? I already have a case against the dealership for firing me and not accepting my medical issue but they trying to make me look like bad to unemployment agent. I don’t understand the whole situation why can I be denied unemployment benefits from a job I only had for 3 weeks. Where it gets confusing the ER nurse gave me a quick letter for work not knowing the surgeon was off thanksgiving Black Friday basically a 4 day weekend. Surgeons were back December 1st and got scheduled December 2nd to get surgery, which don’t matter they fired me November 30th on a Saturday
