Can I Be Evicted From A Place I Don’t Even Live In Anymore?

so basically i (F21) gave 30 day notice in email format to my office in december saying i would no longer be living there by jan 1st. my (F19) sister is also on the old lease (this is important). the apartments emailed back saying i needed to give a written 60 day notice. but i’m poor and couldn’t afford to pay rent for another month plus moving costs as im the only one working right now and supporting a family of 5. so we vacated on the 31st. i got emails saying rent was due and when i looked into it it said my lease was changed to month to month. me and my sister NEVER signed a month to month lease. i emailed saying i don’t live there anymore. they said they wanted a written 60 day. today i went to check the mail for the last time bc im really busy and haven’t added a forwarding address to my new place. that’s where i saw the envelopes im my mail saying i have the appear in court in 3 days and i don’t have a lawyer and cant afford one. what should i do? i’m very lost. i see where i went wrong and made mistakes. should i just accept the eviction? EDIT: i paid decembers rent (last month of the lease) and then sent my notice to of vacating. i paid my rent on time every month and the last month as well. im asking for advice bc they changed my lease to month to month without my consent and that’s why they’re evicting me for “nonpayment of rent”
