Can I (daycare Worker) Sue A Parent For A False Dcfs Case That Lost Me Wages

Card image cap

A parent called dcfs against me for their child getting a bruise on their face (the child had a tantrum at drop off and threw themself onto the hardwood. I was no where near them, the mother was IN the room dropping off the child and saw this happen. They still filed a report saying i hit her, I was not the only teacher in the room, this was seen by my assistant, and this is a known behavior of this child, there was a second bruise from the child doing this exact thing while the parents were not present)

Because of this, I have been placed on administrative leave, I will miss work until this is done being investigated, which could take weeks. I have no doubt it will come back as unfounded considering the circumstances. However, I could still lose my job because it is up to the licensing rep, not my boss, whether or not I could come back after an allegation and leave like this, regardless of it being unfounded.

Is it a possibility for me to sue these parents for the false allegation/lost wages/job when all of this is said and done?
