Can I Dispose Of A Car Left On My Property

Card image cap

Hi, I live in North Carolina and own my home/property. When I bought my house in 2019, I agreed to let my cousin move in. He lived with me until March of 2023, when I asked him to leave (just because he wasn't a great roommate). While he lived here, he purchased a '90, something Miata in full, which eventually started having problems. They were mostly cosmetic problems, and I am unsure about mechanical issues. He ended up purchasing another vehicle. When he moved out, he left the Miata. In March of this year, it will be 2 years that this car has been sitting on my property, and not once has it been started. It is a major eye sore, as it was never properly taken care of. I have attempted to contact him about removing the vehicle numerous times:
November 9, 2023:

Me: Hey cousin, I hope you and the dogs are doing well... I was wondering what you wanted to do with the Mazda.I want to look into getting the driveway paved in the next couple of months.

Him: *no response*

September 26, 2024:

Me: Hey cousin, hope you're doing okay... Do you still want your blue car? I'm planning to get the driveway redone mid October.

Him: Alright I'll have to get a town truck up there

October 9, 2024:

Him: When are you having it paved?

October 11th, 2024:

Me: I'm hoping to start the work the first or second week of November. Sorry for the delayed response.

December 11, 2024:

Me: Hey Alex, I hope everything is going well for you. I still really need your car moved. Please come and get it by the end of the year. I have a friend who will remove it if you cannot. Please let me know fi you can take care of it.

December 15, 2024:

Him: I'm working on it

December 28, 2024:

Him: I got a guy. Imma call him on Monday

December 30, 2024:

Him: They are gonna come to get it Monday, January 6th that's my next day off. Imma grab my TV, too

Me: Okay, around what time? I have to work that day, and I sleep til around 3:30.

January 5, 2025:

Me: ??

Him: Idk he didn't tell me imma call him in the morning to make sure

January 6th came and passed, and the vehicle is still on my property. I have not heard from him, nor have I reached out again. I do not want to, just because I am tired of getting nowhere. A friend is interested in the vehicle as a "project car." Since I gave my cousin the notice of the end of the year, and since it has been abandoned on my property for almost two years, would it be okay to give the car to my friend? What do I need to do? How do I get this car off of my property?
