Can I File A Police Report?

Okay I know this is my fault, but yesterday I went to a restaurant, I was washing my hands and laid my brand new Versace glasses on the table, my daughter then starts yelling for me to go wipe her. I then forget my glasses on the table and when I went back they weren’t there. I asked for the camera footage and for the next 10 minutes the only people to go in and out of the bathroom are employees. One employee claimed she saw the sunglasses when she went in the bathroom, then he claimed she went in a second time and the glasses were not there. In the camera footage you can see both times she went in there a lot with another employee. I didn’t want to point fingers since I was unsure but it’s pretty obvious who it was. The restaurant wasn’t in the best neighborhood and is full of young workers. I talked to the manager and he said there really was nothing they can do. Any advice? My husband had just bought them for me for Valentine’s Day and they weren’t cheap.
