Can My Apartment Trap My Car In A Parking Garage?

So I work later in the day. When I went downstairs the parking garage door wouldn’t open. I didn’t think much of it cuz the door had been acting weird lately anyway. I thought they were just doing some maintenance or something. Well now it’s been a week. I called my landlord and they said there is nothing they can do. They told me they went door to door and talked to everyone, but no one ever talked to me. I was probably sleeping when they came by. They’re telling me now it could be months til they get the door open. My only vehicle is now trapped for possibly months. I have work and a family that rely on me and that vehicle. I had also asked them to just come by and let me out at least but they said they won’t. I even tried to open it myself but I couldn’t find a way. I’ve called to get a copy of my lease since it’s too far to walk and dangerously cold lately but I haven’t gotten anyone to answer for a couple days. Do I have any legal action here?
