Can Someone Legally Force Me To Stop Using My Own Podcast Name?

Card image cap

Not sure if this is the right forum, but worth a shot I guess. The long and short is I’ve had my own podcast since Sept/Oct this year. It has a pretty distinctive name, but apparently nothing too original, since I got a “cease and desist” email from a woman across the country from me, saying she applied to Trademark one word, and it will be official in 2025, so I need to stop using “her” word. In response I offered to partner with her, despite the legal threats, and I’m waiting to hear back. But I’m wondering if she can really force me to change my pod?

For clarity, she applied for the Trademark in 2023 but I published before she launched a website or anything. I searched Google and social media platforms before I decided on the name and posted episodes to make sure it wasn’t already taken and found nothing this past summer.
