Car Accident Question

The day after Xmas I had a motorcycle slam into my driver’s side. If he had been 2 feet to the right, I might have had serious physical damage. I managed to walk away with no bruises and minor whiplash. I froze when I saw him driving towards me because I knew he was driving too fast. My airbag deployed and currently my car damage totals around 12-13k. My car is worth 16-17k. I’m waiting on my insurance to get back to me. The motorcyclist walked away (I’m sure I heard people telling him he couldn’t leave the scene). The police told me they had multiple reports of reckless driving prior to the incident. He said he had insurance but they couldn’t find any and his registration didn’t match. I have no information on him as he went to the hospital but he was found at fault. I’m scared to drive, I’ve never been this reactive to driving after an accident. I’m wondering if I should do anything? I just don’t know what to do. I know I’ll have to pay to get the report from the police station but I’m just at a loss. I’m using a rental right now from my insurance. Would appreciate any legal advice if you have it.
