Car Repo'ed By Accident
So I woke up to go to work and my car was gone. There's no street signs and it's a residential neighborhood. I obviously was panicking and called the police station and they said they didn't know where the car was. So naturally I thought it was stolen. I was trying to report it stolen until my lender that holds my auto loan called me and immediately apologized. They were trying to repo a car and accidentally took mine. I let them know I had to uber to work and the lady on the phone asked me what time I get off work and she will try to arrange for them to drop it off when I get home. She never called me back that day. The next morning I called her and she seemed shocked that no one called me so she tried to call the repo agent and the place that was holding my car and no one picked up. She tried all day and I let her know I had to call out of work and that I needed my car for the next day because I had work at 9. She understood and then I never got a call back again. Now it's today and I have to uber to work yet again... would it be crazy to ask for compensation? A check maybe for emotional distress and life disturbance? I'm bad at telling stories so if you need more details ask away
