Cheating Spouse - Support

My husband of 20 yrs started openly seeing his ex, in October. It was completely out of the normal. He would leave on weekends and turn his phone off, would get aggressive when I showed concern or questioned it. Was avoiding our children. He refused to leave and I no longer could deal with the pain and abandonment. So one weekend while he “had plans” and this time took his Viagra & toothbrush, I rented a place and took some of our stuff.

He said he did not want to spend Christmas with us (he went with her family) didn’t even call our children. I went to my family’s out of town. When I returned that night he had all the locks changed on our family home (of 16 yrs). He refuses to let us back in to get items or even place them outside for me.

This weekend he informed me his ex moved in. This is a woman whom is on drugs. My mother in law just found out they got matching tattoos. ????

I’m not getting any financial help from him. He hasn’t reached out to the children, going on a month. I have applied for child support with no luck of getting a call back.

I contacted a couple attorneys, they want hundreds just for a consultation. I’m starting to feel hopeless in this situation. I’m trying to work and raise my kids when I’m just so distraught and scared.

We’re in Louisiana. Any advice on the quickest way to proceed.
