Child Support Owed, Employer Withheld 100% Of Paycheck To Pay To State. Nothing Was Paid And There Is Still A Large Amount Due.

I guess my question is, can my boyfriend have his deckhand license revoked and/or go to jail for this? His son is currently in his custody 100% and has been for the last year, but (US family court being super awesome as usual) the judge said he still had to pay that amount to his ex wife, but that his ex wife shouldn’t have to pay anything for to him for support (the sexism of low expectations). I told him we should just zero that amount owed out so he didn’t even have to think about that bitch anymore, but then he told me he worked last years halibut season with his uncle who told him the state would garnish most of that check to child support. He told his uncle to keep all of it to pay it to the state so he wouldn’t have to worry about it. Now almost a full year later the uncle has still failed to do that and is giving a “it’s harder than it looks, it’s not just cutting someone a check ????” excuse. My boyfriend said his uncle will have to have it square for his taxes but that could all be in limbo until April or even past that.
Is there a wage theft threat we can make? We currently have a fucking bail fund set up because we’re so unsure what is going to happen if this shit does hit the fan. He keeps saying it’s his uncles problem, the moneys with his uncle, but I’m pretty sure the state would have no remorse in arresting him or revoking his professional license while his uncle sat in front of the tv at home with zero pressure to make his nephew whole. Please let me know what our best course is.
Thank you ????
