Chlorine Exposure To My Girlfriend And Customers At Her Workplace
My girlfriend works at a frozen yogurt place that also serves alcohol and for the past few months she’s had burns on her hands from the sanitizer she uses - i didn’t think much of it as she has excema and sensitive skin in general, however today when i was helping her open i uncovered she has been using, directed by her manager and the lack of signage in the dishwashing station to use undiluted sanitizer, 9.5% chlorine that is, on her bare skin and to sanitize all dishes and appliances here vWhat is the best course of action not even just legally but for her health too? it’s frankly really ridiculous, it is surely a health code violation, is definitely illegal use of the suppliers materials, a risk to customers and the environment. absolutely crazy. while i can’t attach photos on this subreddit of some of the things, (a chlorine test strip that instantly turned to 200pm) clearly far past what the legal limit is, i can pin them in the comments to anyone curious. I’m just mad and worried about her health, this is absurd.
