Co-worker Drugged 5 People At Potluck.do I Have Grounds To Sue?

I ate a cookie that a coworker brought to a potluck. They were laced with a heavy dose of THC. Five of us were drugged.

I became severely confused & dizzy. My heart was racing and I had trouble breathing but no idea what was happening or why. It was pretty terrifying.

Two coworkers were taken to the hospital via ambulance.

Work wouldn't let me drive so a friend came and picked me up.

I can't sue my work (state employee) and am wondering if I should pursue something civilly against the person who brought the cookies.

Any advice would be welcome.
