Concerned About An Independant Animator Project

Hey there, I recently just applied to an Independant animation production call as an animator and storyboard artist. However I am worried.

It seems like a very exciting project that many people have applied to, but I feel like the creators are glossing over a major factor they may likely regret in the future, and that is to make the project 13+, rather than a reasonable age limit, like 18+. I believe they just chose this age because of the server's TOS, but this does not sound like a healthy working environment.

2 years ago the same thing happened with another project I worked on as a volunteer animator at 17. They were giving NDAS to minors and there was a lot of illegal activity going on which ultimately ended the project. I really want to give this project the benefit of the doubt but I feel like I need to raise these concerns to the lead team. This project could easily become predatory, and It feels very misguided now.

I don't mind this project is open to people who are new to art, that sounds like a fun idea! But hiring minors is not the way to do it.

I didn't really take this into consideration till after I read some comments about the project after I had already applied. I'd like to join, but only if these concerns are addressed.

How should I go about this with the moderators?
