Contract
I recently found out that my business partner, aka ex husband, had signed a contract on behalf of our business with a national corporation for over 100k.
This is not an uncommon agreement as they do this with many other businesses like ours and you’re just required to purchase a specific dollar amount worth of their product each month for the next so many years.
The problem is, I never knew he did this and found out by accident and the company who made this contract with him, refuses to give me a copy of the agreement stating that they can’t give that to anyone except the signer. We are 50/50 owners, we are both directors/ officers/ shareholders of equal percentages.
While logging into our banking account one day, there was another account there showing all of this money and I took a screenshot of it. The next day it was gone.
I have always been told there cannot be an account opened for the business without both signatures. The bank clearly had the business name as the owner of that account and yet they also refused to give me any type of information when I called.
This seems to be illegal to me as he has personally pocketed the money that was for the business.
Can someone please shed some light on this for me?
TIA
