Desperate For Help/probate Matter

Hello, I am a resident of Texas. My father passed away last December and I am currently in the process of trying to get his will probated so that I can prove that my siblings and I are indeed his heirs so that we can get his home put into our names so that we can sell the home. I hired a lawyer to accomplish this task for me and I am beginning to think that I was scammed. The lawyer seems to be incompetent and is poor at communicating. Every time I speak with her she seems confused and I have to explain the case circumstances over and over again. She hasn’t even began to file the case with the courts. She hasn’t requested any signatures or anything from my siblings and I. I just feel like I’m being screwed over. I already paid her and I have no more money to pay anyone else. I don’t know what to do. All of the reviews I read before I hired her were positive, but I recently found a review of her’s that described a situation similar to mine and they said they requested a refund from her and she never responded to them again. I am desperate for help. I’ve been trying to contact legal aid for help but I never hear back. Other lawyers want close to $4000 for this matter and now that we paid her what we did, my siblings and I have no way to pay another lawyer. If anyone has any advice, please help. I am so lost. I am the youngest of my 4 siblings and was made executor because my brothers are not very responsible. I also don’t get along with them very well as they are my half siblings. I’m doing my best to get this handled for us but I have lost both of my parents and have no elder adults in my life to help me with advice or anything. It’s just me.
