Dying Grandfather Currently In Hospital, Non Family Member Appointed Poa And Refusing To Give Me Permission For Medical Information. Help!

Hey everyone, to make a super long and convoluted story short, my grandfather is currently in hospital slipping in and out of dementia episodes. After my grandma died in 2012 he met a lady 5 years ago who convinced him that his family hated him and wanted him for his money (he has multiple businesses and such). I was the only family to maintain a relationship that was good. Everyone else was cordial but tense and this new lady had refused to let him speak with anyone or see anyone when she was around.

Last year she died unexpectedly, the POA that was appointed was her daughter in law. Absolutely 0 relation whatsoever. The POA then sent him to a home and put his house up for sale. The home DID NOT take care of him and hes been in the hospital 2 times due to negligence of his diabetes. I live 1.5 hours away and work 60 hours a week so i cant see him every night.

He is now in the hospital and the POA is making up stories that its difficult for the hospital to give me permission to talk to the doctors about his medical condition. What do i do? Ive seen "his most recent will" which was done in 2018 but i have no idea if thats been changed or not now. Hes at a state right now where he can speak to me and remembers alot but is unable to remember certian details (ironically dosent remember who the POA is) that are more recent.
