Employer Told Employees I Am Pregnant When I Asked Him Not To.

In order to get on medicaid I had to tell my 1099 contract labor boss I was pregnant so he could submit my pay history. The reason I wanted to keep it a secret is because the dad doesn't know. I broke up with him before I found out I was pregnant due to violent drug fueled behavior and don't want him to know because I am scared to have him in the child's life or mine. I specifically told my employer It was important nobody finds out. The father has a friend in the trades up at work that I specifically didn't want finding out and guess who my boss volunteered the info to? There was one other worker in the house that over heard the conversation and told me about it (congratulated me on the pregnancy) and since then my bosses brother (my coworker) has told me he admitted to telling the guy about it. Three days later i was afmitted to ER because i got so stressed i didnt eat for 36 hours and the baby quit moving.So far I haven't gotten a call or anything from my ex and I know if he knew he would show up because I had to threaten a retraining order to get him to leave me alone when we broke up. However if and when he finds out because of this can I do anything about it? I called my boss to ask about the situation and he won't return my calls and told his brother he doesn't give a f*** about me and is asking his brother (my coworker) every week if I'm gone yet because he's tired of paying me. In two years I have gotten 3 raises because I was his best employee. Now all of a sudden he is saying f*** me to his brother every chance he gets and didn't give me a Christmas bonus this year either after all this happened and generally hates my guts from what I've been told.
