Executor Of Parent's Estate: Pay Sibling $$ Early?

Hello,
I am the executor of a parent estate. Almost everything is complete, but I still need to cross the final "t" and dot the final "i" and am admittedly dragging my feet for no good reason, ha ha.
ANYWAY, only 3 heirs exist, and one brother wants/needs some of what he is entitled now, rather than when I wrap up. It would be LESS than the final amount he would ultimately receive.
QUESTION is how should I proceed? Have him sign acknowledgement that he is receiving $xxx as part of the final estate? I am not sure how to word a document that I would ask him to sign before handing him a check from the estate account. I have no problem giving him some money at this time, it will be less than the final accounting for sure. Just not sure best way to handle covering myself as the executor should I need to be so. Please let me know your thoughts, I am not considering hiring a lawyer for this simple of a question.
I really appreciate your thoughts!
