Fired From Job For Crime I Was Found Not Guilty Of.
I was at work, my supervisor assaulted me, by threatening to shut me up and pushing his chest up against mine in an attempt to intimidate me, a fellow coworker at the time witnessed it. The same supervisor later fabricated a police report claiming I brandished a knife and threatened to "mess them up". I was fired a few days later and spent about 30 hours in jail. They arrested me out of my hotel room before my flight back to my home state.(never seen the warrant)
A year later I beat the criminal case and was found not guilty and all my charges expunged from my record along with my arrest. I was also in the probationary period at the time of this event, and was officially terminated for being "combative" at work. Do I have a case against my employer for wrongful termination? Or even my accuser for a false police report and maybe lost wages?
