Girlfriend & I Broke Up - She Lives With Me - How Do I Get Her Out? (florida)

Hi there,

I (32M) own my own home in Pinellas County, Florida (City of Seminole). My long term girlfriend is living with me, but we have recently had a messy breakup. To my knowledge, she is actually currently in a mental health facility.

I want to reclaim my home. I think she will collect her things and leave peacefully once she's off the psychiatric hold. However, in case I do need to call the law, I want to make sure my bases are covered.

- Her name is not on my home in any way.
- My address is on her drivers license and it is her primary residence. She uses it for bills / health insurance etc.

- We are not married. We did domestically partner for health insurance reasons.

If I send a letter in the mail addressed to her at my/our address, containing a basic eviction notice, will that suffice to begin the 30 days?

Or do I have to hand it to her / ensure she gets the letter and reads it?

What is generally the smartest way to go about this in Florida?
