Grandmother China Cabinet Sc

My grandparents recently moved out of their house and into a apartment. I had helped them and with that my grandma let me bring home and use her old China cabinet into mine and my ex gf's house. Notice how I said ex gf. We've been broken up for a few days now and I've been trying to get my China cabinet that my grandma had given me back. She refuses to give it back saying that my grandmother had given us both it which she did not. It wasn't payment for helping her move, more of a family heriloom. I plan on going up to the court house on Monday to file in small claims court. Is there anything else I should be aware of that could happen. I have witnesses and pictures of it in my grandmothers house, with my grandmother actually willing to go to the court to get her/my stuff back. And advice would be helpful thank you.
