Hoa Is Suing My Parents Due To Missed Payments

My parents run a small restaurant business in Arizona that has been having some trouble staying afloat due to constant construction, making it difficult for customers to come out and reach their establishment. Unfortunately, last year's profits were underwhelming and affected their ability to pay most if not all bills thrown at them, including HOA fees. The fees kept stacking up but I didn't think it'd get to the point where the HOA would sue them because of it.

My parents are asking me for advice, but there's truly none that I could give them which is why I'm here to see what could be done. Is it too late to call our HOA? I'm genuinely at a loss right now and could use some help.
