Hospital Gave Me An Incorrect Cost Estimate
Hi, I'm not even sure if I can do anything about this but I thought I'd post here and see what you all think. I needed to have a big health evaluation done recently but before I moved forward with it, I contacted the hospital's billing department to get an estimate of how much the evaluation would cost. They got back to me the next day and said it would be $50.00 with my insurance. Because of this, I went ahead with the evaluation. However, I recently received a bill for $800 for this service and now I'm very upset because that's obviously a drastic difference. When I compared the actual bill with the estimate, it seems like they didn't completely factor in all of the services needed for the evaluation when they gave me the estimate. Is there anything I can do legally or am I just gonna have to suck it up and pay the $800?
