I Bought A Car The Seller Didn’t Own. (ohio)

So I bought a used Jeep from my girlfriend’s cousin. ($2200). At the time, she said she needed a week to go get the title. I didn’t suspect anything nefarious because gf’s cousin, right?

Well fast forward to now, 3 months later, and it’s been found that the car was never in her name. I was sent the fb account details of the title holder, who will not respond to me. Cousin will not respond to me either.

Line an idiot, I did not get a bill of sale or receipt. But I do have witnesses to the purchase.

Should I sue in small claims? Or am I screwed?
