I Discovered My Ex Boyfriend Who Has A Restraining Order On Me And Vice Versa Is Sending People Pictures Of My Social Security Card And State Id.

This is a trainwreck, I (17f) am completely lost and don't know how to proceed. Yesterday, a girl messaged me on Instagram informing me that I should be concerned about my SSN being leaked. After further prying, she said she had gone through her ex boyfriend's phone and found pictures of my SSN card and state ID; also alleging the person in possession of my info is a "scammer." I asked for proof and she sent it. (I screenshotted the conversation, but she deleted a few sketchy messages, also telling me "not to say anything")

(Side note: the person now in possession of my information is also a friend of my ex, I'm not sure if this is important)

This is where it gets difficult. I know who took those pictures, I had my ex boyfriend take the pictures for my I9 form back in April. (I know I'm stupid) and I was under the impression he deleted them. We broke up in August, after he had me arrested. He filed a restraining order on me, and my mom filed one against him on my behalf. However, he has not stopped trying to contact me, creating fake numbers, through social media, etc. I would be lying if I said I never replied, but I never initiate contact the way he does. Is it possible I can get in legal trouble for having replied to him, if I pursue this issue? That fear is the only reason I haven't filed a police report yet. I'm also being told multiple different things; my mom is saying the police won't care about the "fraud" (malicious leaking of my identity), and saying we need to report him obsessively contacting me instead. But I'm also being told to report this matter to authorities by my coworker who works in cyber security. I desperately need advice, I don't know how to protect myself or what the process for this needs to be.
