I Have A Third-party's Vending Machines In My Business That I've Requested To Be Removed, And The Owner Is Refusing To Do So.

A few months back, we had a customer offer to bring in some vending machines to our facility. He said he would take care of the installation and all upfront costs, plus maintenance and restocking. We, in turn, agreed to take only 10% of sales, and he would take the other 90%. We have no formal contract in place. This was all verbal agreement. This is not another company I am working with; it is simply just some person who has acquired a handful of vending machines and is looking to make a few extra dollars.

I reached out to him to let him know we would like to remove them because we now have plans for the space they occupy, and they have not been as popular as we had hoped. At this point, they make just enough to cover the cost they add to our electric bill. I told him there was no rush to do this immediately and that we could keep them in place for several weeks before they became too cumbersome to store within our new floor layout.

He's informed me that he would not be removing them, and we can either purchase them from him or keep them with the same verbal agreement we have in place. Me and my business partners have agreed to meet up with him in person to discuss this further, which will be our last opportunity to solve this peacefully; so far I have just had a one-on-one phone conversation with him that went poorly. I'd really like to solve this amicably because he's been a customer of ours for over a decade, and we have a good relationship. However, what are my options if he becomes unreasonable about this?
